The client contacted SapientPro to create a browser extension that would display minted NFT usernames on popular platforms like X (Twitter), YouTube, and Discord. As of April 2025, the project held 2 NFT token drop events and yielded $1.5 million. Continue Capital estimated this project at $30 million. SapientPro’s engineers and designers handled the project from scratch to full release.
Our Collaboration Story
We partnered with the client in Spring 2021 when NFT projects were heavily in-demand. As the industry was rapidly evolving, the project’s scale expanded significantly beyond initial planning and required us to adapt to new workflows. All this was done under tight deadlines.
Challenges
Identity Management
The project aimed to establish a strong foundation by allowing users to mint NFT usernames as universal digital identities. This also required setting up user profiles and integrating Twitter accounts for social-linked authentication.
Marketplace Development and Decentralization
A key objective was building an internal NFT marketplace to allow direct buying and selling, removing the need for third-party platforms like Opensea. This required smart contract development and a complete website redesign.
Community Engagement and Interaction Tools
To acquire an active user base, the team needed to develop a Discord bot, a community dashboard, and a dedicated “Community” section to explore different NFT “Spaces.”
Gamification and Retention
Introducing collectibles and achievements was essential to boost long-term engagement through gamified features tailored to the NFT environment.
Smart Contract & Marketplace Foundation
NFT Minting & Wallet Connectivity
We built the core smart contract infrastructure with “waves” functionality, allowing limited NFT drops. A dedicated landing page was also developed to support wallet connectivity and enable NFT minting directly on the platform.
Internal NFT Marketplace
To eliminate third-party reliance, we implemented an internal marketplace supporting ETH transactions via Metamask. Users could list NFTs, place purchase bids, and manage sales seamlessly within the platform.
User & Social Layer
Custom User Profile System
Users can view their NFT galleries, select usernames, upload profile images, and link social accounts. Profiles also support bios, NFT backgrounds, and interaction with other users.
Browser Extension for Twitter Integration
A browser extension was launched to show NFT usernames on Twitter profiles. Users could browse NFT galleries and tag-based communities directly via the extension, enhancing visibility across social media.
Community Infrastructure & Gamification
Discord Ecosystem Development
We developed a Discord bot that assigned roles based on NFT ownership, supported community engagement, and helped manage exclusive access. A dashboard allowed role control and status-based automation.
Gamified Collectibles & Achievements
To boost engagement, we added achievements and digital collectibles, ranging from gaming items to limited-edition badges. Users could earn these by meeting criteria and see them on social platforms via the extension.
Platform Scalability & Admin Control
Admin Dashboard for Management
A full-featured admin dashboard was developed to manage API requests, achievements, social badges, wallet whitelists, and real-time stats across Twitter and the platform’s backend.
Cross-Chain Compatibility & Security
To support future scaling, we prioritized compatibility across Ethereum, Solana, and Arbitrum. We implemented security audits, encryption, caching, and debugging processes to ensure data protection and uptime.
